The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll
This error is caused by a 3rd party utility or applcation overwriting your msvcrt.dll with a different version.
For example if a windows vista version of this DLL was copied on to a windows XP computer you would probably get this error.

If the problem appears after installing or upgrading the Mozilla Firefox browser to version 3.5 (or later) operating under Windows XP, the problem is due to a Windows Vista driver (dwmapi.dll) installed in a Windows XP OS at folder system32 by mistake (faulty install program).Delete that dwmapi.dll file to fix the problem.

i deleted this dll file u said but it still sais the same thing i delete it from system32
i dont have this dwmapi.dll in system32 but this fucking computer errors me with this shit about msvcrt.dll :@ help

I was trying to install NFS Most Wanted in XP. after installation when I tried to open the app, it stated the dxgi.dll error, so I downloaded the dxgi.dll and pasted it in Installed NFS folder ,then it showed another error. So I deleted it and pasted it in system32, but it show the same error here as well—–”The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll”—-
I tried the following procedures:-
1)replacing msvcrt.dll with new version.
2)Try registering the file as follows from the command list:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msvcrt.dll

i to had this problem after replacement of my os. i installed the app dtpro and i got this error.on my first os(win xp) i didnt had this error.
disable any virtual drive that has autorun files on it or uninstall the virtual drive.
