For everyone that’s having trouble decompressing their UIF files…

First make sure it is a .uif file extension you’re looking at with the letters in that exact order and nothing else.

When on MagicISO the Tools menu is on the top left hand side of the window. So make sure you’re not trying to decompress by right-clicking the actual file you want to decompress, you must do it from the Tools menu.

Find the .uif file as the ‘input’ and MagicISO will sort out the ‘output’ so you don’t need to fuss over that and then decompress. It does not matter what file size it is, if it is telling you it should be below 300mb you are doing something wrong so double check this checklist and the original instructions!!

And of course make sure you’re not trying to use MagicISO to do anything other than DECOMPRESS in other words extracting or mounting etc. are not the same thing.

Yea you can convert any file. But burning anything above 300mb with the trial is impossible. But that image burn thing isnt that great, it doesnt tell you that your burning the ISO as a file and not as an image. so that bugging the hell out of me.

If anyone wants to run .uif on your local hard disk just decode .uif to .iso then use daemon tool to mount image and run it.

This really isn’t a help if your file is over 300mb, since MagicISO’s trial version won’t save into an ISO from a UIF. aku, “size does matter” here. Anyone know where *that* software is for free download? I’ve already got PowerISO and Nero 6 Ultra, which can get all over the burning an ISO part. It’s going from 3gigs of one UIF file into ISO that’s roadblocking this thread…

MagicDisc freeware can mount .UIF disc images, so you can copy them directly with any program.

nadiebadi, you can’t decompress that movie (which I assume is over 300mb in size) if you’re using the trial version of magiciso. You’re gonna have to pay for the full version.

i downloaded a movie and it was a ufi file. i downloaded magiciso and poweriso but it won’t let me decompress the movie file because it’s over 300mb. i’ve downloaded everything to help but it’s not working. any suggestions?

Tom, this worked for me, the size doesn’t matter when you’re extracting to an ISO. But you can’t use MagicISO’s burning program to burn the DVD, you have to use another program such as Nero or, as was suggested, ImgBurn (I used Nero myself, but I’m sure ImgBurn works just as well.)

Like I said, it worked fine for me, although the extraction can take a while.
